Akash Deep is an Indian cricketer born on December 15, 1996 in Bihar. He plays as an all-rounder and represents Bengal in the domestic cricket. Akash made his first-class debut in the Ranji Trophy 2019-20. In 2021, Deep was named to the Royal Challengers Bangalore team for the second phase of the 2021 Indian Premier League (IPL) in Dubai and was bought by the Royal Challengers Bangalore in the auction for the IPL 2022. Akash Deep’s life has not been without its difficulties. In his teens, the fast bowler had to migrate from Bihar to Durgapur, West Bengal, and overcome family objections to pursue a cricket career. Akash’s father died approximately six years ago, and a few months later, he also lost his elder brother. With no one to support his family, he had to return home. But he couldn’t let go of the game. He soon returned to West Bengal, playing divisional cricket in the maidans of Kolkata. Akash worked his way up through Bengal’s under-23 team before being promoted to the senior Bengal team.
