Sameer Rizvi made his debut in first-class cricket in 2020 and has appeared in two Ranji Trophy matches. He made his T20 debut in the Syed Mushtaq Ali Trophy 2022, scoring 295 runs with a strike rate of 134.70. Particularly, he became Uttar Pradesh’s leading run scorer in the Syed Mushtaq Ali Trophy 2023, with 277 runs in a mere seven innings. Sameer Rizvi rose to fame after the UP T20 League, when he scored the tournament’s most runs. Rizvi was known for his tremendous hitting and led his team, the Kanpur Superstars, in sixes during the season.
