Over the two years of his time with the Gujarat based franchise, Rashid Khan has had the opportunity to lead the Titans on two occasions. Being the designated Vice-captain of Gujarat Titans, Rashid took over once in IPL 2022 against Chennai Super Kings due to Hardik Pandya being unwell and GT won the match. The other instance was in IPL 2023 against Kolkata Knight Riders with Hardik Pandya being unavailable but this time GT lost the match.
Shubman Gill: (2024)
Shubman Gill is the captain of the Gujarat Titans for the upcoming season of IPL 2024. He was announced as the new captain in November 2023, following Hardik Pandya’s trade to the Mumbai Indians.This decision surprised some, as Gill is a relatively young player compared to other experienced options on the team. However, many believe his talent, intelligence, and leadership qualities make him a good fit for the role.
